Problem
Modern fashion media often overlooks the historical context of style and identity. The challenge was to create a magazine that not only educates but empowers readers to explore personal expression through the lens of fashion history. It needed to be both visually engaging and grounded in well researched storytelling.

Solution
Better Off Thread is a complete historical fashion magazine. Through original illustration, curated layouts, and clear storytelling, the publication offers readers a way to engage with fashion as both history and self-expression. It succeeds as an educational resource, a personal passion project, and a proof of concept.
Environmental Graphics Concept
To expand Better Off Thread beyond the printed page, I created a full-scale interactive display for the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI). The goal was to translate the magazine’s core themes education, storytelling, and visual style into a physical format that could engage a public audience of all ages.
Final Thoughts
This installation turned static content into a dynamic educational experience. The project demonstrates how physical environments can extend storytelling and support audience engagement skills easily adaptable to brand activations, retail experiences, or immersive campaigns.
